Yesterday we shot footage for another demonstration video. This one involved assembling an optical "doublet" which involves aligning and cementing two optical elements together with extremely high precision. This one was especially challenging due to how delicate the process is and the macro work required to show the details. It all ended up coming together and we got some great footage! Product Demonstration Videos
Shooting for Opto-Alignment in Charlotte, NC today. This is the first in a series of videos demonstrating the application of their various products. We will probably also end up doing some training videos as well. Up for today was their Lens Handler which is used for safely handling, cleaning, and painting the edges of individual lens elements in a laboratory setting. Of course this was also a great opportunity to put the video lights I built through their paces. #diychar
Testing my new custom built LED video lights -Raw footage set to Daylight WB
This is an improvised test of the new LED lights. Pretty much just gave him a cookbook and asked him to read me an excerpt. The main 140W panel is of my own design and the two rear lights are highly moddified 100W Arri knock offs. The main panel can hold it's own against a $4500 Kinoflo Celebrity LED panel and even beat it for power slightly.
